My first solo show (Portland, 2005) mixed repeating pattern photos with spraypaint paintings. Making patterns from my photography allows a level of abstraction and playful recontextualization of familiar scenes.
This photography series is a NYC revisit of making patterns through repetition. I just love creating these as they hold some otherworldly feel by creating a strange, not entirely possible, space for the viewer to process.
