Waste A Lifetime: color sketches

When preparing for the “Waste a Lifetime” show in 2005, I debated back and forth about adding color to the pieces. I love the playfulness of color and it’s emotive response it brings to viewers but ultimately I thought it made my work look a little too cartoonish. These pieces were never published, but represent that direction.
I still get into Color vs. B&W debates in my art… but no one really likes my B&W artwork as much, so color always wins.
