The title of this series is a play on the “Get Rich or Die Trying” 50 cent album name. During this series of sketches I was in the process of attempting to live a successful personal life along with creating art. While I tapped into the Seattle art scene of live painting, urban art, I never fully connected. Maybe not enough depth for me, but these sketches were me a little confused about where to next take my art and how to connect with a new city- Seattle as opposed to Portland.
full disclosure: I never really connected with Seattle artistically but woah- is it ever a wonderful place to live.
