My third Portland OR show all within a 6 month period saw a drastic change in content. Inspired by a car engine manual book for Subarus in the 1970’s I explored my love of technical diagrams. I drew imaginative, energetic diagrams attempting to create these fantastical schematic structures.
This show expanded upon the abstract, technical line drawings that would continue to appear throughout my work. I’d always been more attracted to sketches then final paintings. It shows the raw energy and hand behind the works more directly.
