computer corrupted photos

Corruption

The title “Corruption” was inspired by digital photos on a corrupted hard drive. The resulting images had horizontal lines and discolorations running through them- with some surprisingly beautiful results. Taking the same “computer on a rampage aesthetic” and adding silkscreens: produced 100 square photos in a huge install at the Portland OR Gallery, Ogle.

All the photographs were taken in Brussels, France, Italy and Germany and have silkscreen directly on the glass which frame them. The silkscreen provides a second layer of depth and a nice contrast to the glossy framed photos.

Also noted, this square formate series was created WAY BEFORE instagram, shortly after even facebook started. So don’t front.
