Food was one of the most important bonds in my family life I grew up with. My parents spent a lot of time, effort and love with cooking. While I had little other restrictions or curfews- skipping dinner was not an option. I used to think we were somehow a lost French or Italian family transplanted and convinced to be American.
I created this series with my Pops in mind. He’s dedicated most his working life to changing how Americans buy, eat and conceive food. Fortunately local, craft and organic foods are now available in America.
