100 Bogart Mural, Bushwick
This mural, going into a co working space in Bushwick, is a large scale recreation of an art series I did years ago of these multi layered silkscreens. Mostly black/white with burst of color, the goal was to recreate the paper like silkscreen texture large scale. My team used sponges to meticulously build up those textures. This is the first time I’d ever painted with natural sponges… and it was a pain in the ass.
The workspace and clients were kick ass though and it was a lot of fun getting to be part of the creation of this space in one of my favorite places of NYC… right next to Robertas.
