These are playing cards I illustrated for my Grandfathers 80th birthday. As a Air Force flight engineer, he flew and worked on 4 of these actual planes (Cards Jack through Ace). The rest, I thought just looked pretty bad ass.
Fortunately the drawings passed the test as he was able to identify the type of airplanes illustrated. It’s a good thing because he can identify planes thousands of feet in the air…so it would have been embarrassing if he couldn’t figure out my drawings.
My Grandparents play cards all the time. It’s one of my favorite activities ever, even though my Grandma always beats everyone….all the time.
It’s still fun.
